Service Description
Relieve stress and tension with PEMF and Targeted Massage Chronic stress accelerates the aging process and can increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, fatigue, and even immune problems. Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field (PEMF) devices produces low-power, low-frequency electromagnetic waveforms that regulate cell & tissue functioning. PEMF Therapy interrupts the stress cycle by inhibiting the sympathetic ('Fight or Flight') nervous system, helping the body and nervous system regulate. PEMF can help clients experience what a regulated nervous system can feel like, helping them discover other ways to similarly reduce stress. Massage therapy activates the parasympathetic ('Rest & Digest) nervous system; which regulates symptoms of anxiety, pain, and stress. The targeted massage addresses muscular tension in the upper shoulders and lower neck (where 'stress' likes to 'hang out').
Cancellation Policy
Bodywork Services that are offered by Horses & Heroes currently include: Corrective/Targeted Massage Therapy, Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy, and Infrared Sauna Services. Certain individuals may not be able to access certain services depending on current health status and/or certain historical medical conditions. For questions regarding contraindications of Massage Therapy, PEMF Therapy, or Infrared Sauna services, please contact info@horsesandheroes.org. NEW CLIENTS Please arrive 10 minutes early to ensure the health questionnaire and waivers are accurate and complete. Your provider will discuss your session goal(s) and answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic service(s) included in your appointment. PRE-SESSION PREPARATION To assist in our mission to keep our devices clean, please wear clean clothing and avoid applying lotions/oils to your skin before your appointment. Please ensure you drink plenty of water the day before your session. The bodywork services increase circulation and reduce inflammation; staying hydrated before and after your appointment will assist your body in flushing out any cellular waste that is released during your session. Common side effects of participating in the Bodywork Services while dehydrated can include: runny nose, increase in sinus pressure, headache, body ache(s), and other symptoms similar to cold/flu symptoms. We highly recommend arriving to your appointment with a full water bottle. POST-SESSION RECOMMENDATIONS Hydration will help your lymphatic system flush out any cellular waste that is released during your session. Get plenty of rest the night after your appointment to help promote tissue recovery, especially after Targeted Massage. Light stretching before bed will also help the muscles stay relaxed. CANCELATIONS & RESCHEDULING After booking a session with your provider, we ask that in the event a cancelation or rescheduling is necessary, please inform your provider at least 12 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. Cancelations or rescheduling your appointment before the 12 hour time frame will not be charged a cancelation fee. Late Cancelation Fees will be applied to cancellations made after the 12 hours time frame and in the event of a 'No-Call-No-Show', the full session rate will be charged.
